Jo Ann Schneider AIA LEED AP is a licensed and USGBC LEED certified architect who is passionate about architectural design excellence and sustainability. Jo, proud to have broken glass ceilings for women in corporate architecture, is the Director of Architecture for the Maryland Aviation Administration and has been the Eastern Regional Design Principal for Jacobs Global Buildings, Head of Commercial Architectural Design for Carter Burgess, and a Principal and Associate Vice President for RTKL Associates in the commercial studio. Jo has been the design lead on many mixed use projects worldwide including in Japan, Korea, Dubai and Europe. Jo also worked as an intern for Frank Gehry and had Charles Moore as her UCLA Thesis Adviser. Jo has a Masters in Architecture from the UCLA Graduate School of Architecture & Urban Planning and a Bachelor’s of FIne Art from State University of New York, Alfred.

Jo Schneider is also a lifelong sculptor who has created and designed large scale public art commissions internationally including Puerto Rico, the US, Dubai and China. She shows her personal work in museums and galleries in the US and UK. Working as Jo Schneider Design LLC, Jo creates public sculptures from artistic concept to development and working hands on with fabricators and foundries in a variety of materials from bronze to stainless steel to aluminum.
